BauNOW aims to support a green and equitable transition by enhancing public and private capacities to finance and implement sustainable development practices across the Mediterranean region.
Description of the project in one paragraph
BauNOW is a collaborative initiative focused on fostering a green and just transition (GJT) in the Mediterranean (MED) region by improving the planning and financing capabilities of both public and private stakeholders. The project introduces the Green and Just Transition Dashboard, a user-friendly tool designed to facilitate the planning and implementation of GJT at local and regional levels. Through pilot projects across nine areas in seven MED countries, BauNOW will test and validate this tool, promoting a shift towards a sustainable, resilient economy that integrates new consumer, business, and financing models, thereby creating a new “Business as Usual” (BaU) paradigm.
