As part of the BauNOW project, the Green and Just Transition Dashboard has been developed as one of the main project results. The web-based tool supports the planning, monitoring and management of projects that contribute to the green and just transition, with a particular focus on the needs of small and medium-sized municipalities, regional agencies and project offices.
The dashboard addresses the challenge of fragmented project data by bringing together project portfolios, analytics, methodology and an information hub within a single interface. It enables users to register and review projects, monitor implementation status, and compare projects across countries, investment types and development stages. Key performance indicators include project costs, energy consumption, energy savings, CO₂ emission reductions, subsidies and the number of people reached or educated.
Its added value lies in transforming dispersed project information into clear and accessible visual insights. In this way, the dashboard supports more informed decision-making, investment planning and policy development, while also improving transparency and enabling continuous monitoring of project progress.
The solution is designed as a transferable model that can be adapted to different territorial and thematic contexts across the Euro-MED area. It can support projects in fields such as energy, mobility, climate adaptation, circular economy and capacity building. Its successful use depends on a shared methodology, clearly defined indicators, regular data updates and well-established responsibility for maintaining project portfolios.
