GBC Connect Forum — “Industry and State in Dialogue for Green Transition” — was held in Šibenik from April 21 to 23, 2026, organized by the Croatia Green Building Council. This three-day B2G (Business to Government) event brought together leading experts, industry representatives, and policymakers to align steps toward sustainable construction, energy, and urbanism.
Regional Energy Agency North (REAN) participated in a panel discussion titled One-stop-shop: “A Simpler Path to an Energy-Efficient Home” during which key questions were raised regarding the acceleration of building renovations, providing adequate support to building owners, and removing obstacles that slow down the transition. REAN shared knowledge and experience regarding the technical assistance that provides to citizens wishing to energetically renovate their homes.
A highlight of the panel was VIREAS, an AI Virtual Energy Assistant. Developed through BauNOW project, this innovative tool serves as a first-level technical support model for citizens.
